I decided to go somewhere with Japan Air Line’s “Somewhere Miles” and decided to go to Oita.
The destination is determined by Russian roulette from four candidates at 6,000 miles.
There were four candidate destinations this time: Miyakojima, Nagasaki, Oita, and Aomori.
I was excited to go anywhere, but this time I decided on Oita! With only 3 days left before departure, I immediately started planning where to go and where to stay!
timetable
I always create some kind of time schedule on Google Calendar, but this time I had almost no plan.
Because this time, the main focus is on Beppu Onsen!
We decided to make refreshing ourselves in a hot spring bath the purpose of our trip.
I’ll go into Beppu Onsen all I want!
Speaking of Beppu..
Beppu Onsen and Jigoku Meguri (Hell Tour) around Beppu Station are famous, aren’t they?
In fact, I had been to Beppu once before and had already had the experience of visiting hell.
I remember visiting the “Kannawa hot spring area” at that time and being fascinated by the atmosphere of steam coming out of the town and the cuisine that made the most of the ingredients at the hell steam.
Jigoku-Steam
What is Jigoku-Steam( it’s “Jigoku-mushi” in Japanese)
Simply put, the hot steam from the hot spring can be used to steam food.
There is a place to experience renting a kiln on a timetable as a tourist experience, but to my surprise, I heard that I could use it as much as I wanted if I stayed at the inn.
The inn has hot spring baths as a therapeutic bath facility, discounts are available at nearby box baths, and the use of the hell steam baths is unlimited.
It is not listed on other hotel reservation sites, so we recommend making an online reservation with Jalan!
What’s Jalan?
Jaran is Japan Hotels & Ryokan Booking Site!
It’s a common booking site in Japan.

summary
A trip to Oita for a hot-spring cure.
Before going on a trip, I researched in advance the hot springs I wanted to visit and the food I wanted to eat, even though No Planning trip.
Since we are going on a weekday, I think we will be able to relax and enjoy the popular restaurants and hot springs.
We will then go and taste the delicious local fish, vegetables and meat steamed in hell!
Oh, I’ll bring some ponzu (Japanese citrus juice).
